moiread: (SHINIES • a botanist in faeryland.)
[personal profile] moiread
I have bought a lot of shinies from [ profile] elisem over the years and, since she's still making lovely things, I don't expect to stop acquiring more anytime soon. Like a dragon, I now have a small hoard. As awesome as that is, the pieces that I love most have changed over time, and there are a lot of items that I just don't wear anymore. I think they deserve better than languishing in my jewellery box, so I'm sending them out into the world to seek new homes and new civilizations, to boldly go new adventures. Any money I make from these sales will help me afford the confluence of Christmas and vet bills. (My formerly-abused rescue dog says thank you for anxiety meds!)

"Intermediate Rose Magic" necklace: glass and sterling silver. About 96 inches long. $250.

"Where You Find It" necklace-crown: quartz, carnelian, sterling silver. $275.

"In This Life or Another" pendant: an ancient old coin (Roman?), a piece of ancient Roman glass, sterling silver. $50.
"Metamorphosis Afternoon" pendant: labradorite, sterling silver. $19. SOLD!
"Possibility" pendant: fluorite and sterling silver. $10.
"Trooping the Colors Back Under the Hill" pendant: a wonderfully subtle big agate bead, more agate, carnelian round, sterling silver wire. $30.

"A Botanist In Faeryland" earrings: Lori Robbins lampwork beads, Swarovski crystal, GF wire. New earwires. $40. SOLD!

"Life Is a Carnival" earrings: Beau Hawn lampwork beads, Swarovski crystal, GF beads and wire. New earwires. $40.

• All prices are in USD, as I expect most of these purchases to be heading that way. You can claim pieces by sending an email to and afterwards payment via PayPal is preferred. (If you're local, we can make other arrangements.)
• Shipping is $10 within Canada and $15 to the US. Your shinies will be packaged in a very sturdy gift box inside an envelope cushioned with bubble wrap.
• None of these shinies are damaged in any way. Pinky swear. I have knocked a few bucks off the more expensive pieces out of self-consciousness, but otherwise any discounts are because I myself bought them on sale. Markdowns for me become markdowns for you, even years later! It's like the least taxing time travel ever!
• As you can see, many of the earrings no longer have the original earwires from Elise's photos. I have metal allergies, so upon purchase Elise always swaps the originals out for me to ones made from super-hypoallergenic niobium that's been anodized to produce fun colours. Also, all earrings will come with clear wire guards unless you say you don't want them.
• Most pieces will come with their original name cards. I've yet to forget a name but personally I still like having the cards around for reference. Maybe you're like that too! Maybe you're not! Doesn't matter, you're getting them anyway!
